| SDP-TSM ELECTROPORATION EXPLAINED MESO ELECTROPORATION SYSTEM Meso electroporation is a new concept. It is an electronic device that produces a pulsed modulated electromagnetic wave without generating heat. This waveform is capable of creating a temporary opening of the ion channels, allowing substances to be introduced through the skin. • It is easy to use. SUBSTANCES THROUGH THE SKIN
This is known as the membrane potential. Externally applied currents can modify the membrane potential and change the structure and behaviour of the components of the membrane, including the pores. The current in the Meso Electroporation System specifically makes the lipids in the pores rotate, opening up the ion channels. This is known as electroporation and is due to the to the impulse of the electromagnetic wave. It is reversible owing to the pulsed, non constant nature of the current, allowing the cell to return to its normal state (pores closed). In the pores-open state (current running) the permeability of the cell membrane is 400 times increased, with no change in polarity (Praunist 1999). It is during the pores open state that the active substance can be applied to the skin. TRANSEPIDEMAL ROUTE The substance crosses the stratum corneum barrier. The stratum corneum is lipophilic and its resistance to passage of substances depends on its hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties. Its permeability is 15 times less than the dermis. ADNEXAL ROUTE The pilosebaceous unit is lined with epithelial cells and absorption of hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules occurs through these cells. SUDORIPOROUS ROUTE Ionised products cross the cells of the sweat glands.
• The waveform used is neither ionising nor heat-generating. ONCE THROUGH THE SKIN, HOW DO PRODUCTS PASS INTO THE CELLS? • Transcellular route. INDICATIONS FOR THE MESO ELECTROPORATION SYSTEM Aesthetic treatments: • Obesity • Cellulite • Skin ageing • Scars • Stretch marks CONTRAINDICATIONS • Pregnancy • Pacemaker • Epilepsy TREATMENT PROTOCOL • Determined by the presenting condition and the substance required. 1. CONTROL OF OBESITY AND CELLULITE WITH PPC. Phosphatidyl Choline is a medicine that acts on fatty tissue. The presumed mechanism is that the PPC damages the membrane of the fat cell thereby releasing fat into the extracellular space, ready for transport to the liver for metabolism. Cellulite is a disease of fatty tissue; the more fat there is then the more voluminous the cellulite. Reducing fat cell volume reduces cellulite. PPC has been used by injection into the fatty tissue with great success. The MES apparatus allows ionised, non-ionised & lipidic molecules to penetrate the skin and to pass between & into the cells. Fat cells are particularly fragile & are therefore particularly responsive to this kind of treatment. We can provide PPC in an optimum formulation for transdermal use. The preparation is supplied in vials specifically for transdermal use and not for injection. 2. REHYDRATION AND RESTRUCTURING OF THIN SKIN AREAS: HANDS AND DÉCOLLETÉ. The hands and fingers show the age; treatment with classic mesotherapy (nappage) can be painful and leave tell-tale marks for a few days. Injections into the hands needs to be performed very carefully to avoid the risk of infection. Likewise the décolleté needs special care. The MES system can be used with a nourishing vitamin, mineral and amino-acid mix specially conceived for the treatment of skin laxity. 3. CELLULITE. Nobody wants bruising from mesotherapy to stop them achieving toned bodies in the gym or the pool. MES system allows a specially prepared cellulite mixture to treat fluid retention and/or fatty based cellulite. Large areas can be treated without bruising, pain or downtime. IMPORTANT NOTE Deltalusan (the manufacturer) and consultdrminas.com do not accept responsibility for the products applied with the MES system, nor for the effects of those products on the client. |
