Mesotherapy is a simple concept, BUT IT IS NOT EASY to learn or to do.

There are three things that a great mesotherapist must become proficient at:

Science.
First of all, there is the scientific theory of mesotherapy....how do certain medications/supplements work to decrease fat cell size, break up cellulite, what kind of receptors are on fat cells, what doesn't mix well together, what drugs can a person be taking that will make their mesotherapy INEFFECTIVE, what foods/habits can a person be engaging in that will make mesotherapy ineffective, etc.

Art.
What is the fat deposit shaped like? Is the leg already too thin in places even though there is cellulite dimpling there? Does the ethnicity of the face mean that you should or SHOULD NOT mesosculpt high cheekbones out of the buccal fat pad? If you place your injections aligned along the jaw line, will that tighten skin the way you want, or will it increase the wrinkling by making gravity's effect more obvious?

Technique.
At what depth should I inject THIS PATIENT's SKIN? How thick is it? Should I perform deep sticks too? A "gun" (not an FDA approved device, btw)) can't be used to do nappage, are my hand skills good enough to make precise placements of strong medications into each and every situation I might encounter? Do I really understand the underlying surgical anatomy? Where are the big vessels I want to stay away from? The big nerves? Do I want to put something into the patient's buttocks that will make them too sore to sit on it for three days?

MESOTHERAPY AND "LIPODISSOLVE" ARE NOT AS EASY FOR DOCTORS TO LEARN AS IT LOOKS. TWO-DAY COURSES ARE INSUFFICIENT TO LEARN THE ENTIRE SPECIALTY OF MESOTHERAPY. TRAINING ONLY IN FRANCE WILL NOT GIVE A PHYSICIAN THE MODERN TECHNIQUES OF MESOTHERAPY. TRAINING ONLY IN THE U.S. WILL PROBABLY NOT TEACH ENOUGH CLASSICAL THEORY.

IN MY OPINION, MESOTHERAPY SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED BY A CERTIFIED PHYSICIAN WELL EXPERIENCED IN THE PROCEDURE. THAT IS WHY WE ARE TRYING TO BRING ALL CERTIFIED PHYSICIANS UNDER ONE BANNER TO ASSIT PATIENTS WANTING TO UNDERGO THE PROCEDURE USING ONLY QUALIFIED PRACTITIONERS.

The treatment:

Fat deposits are anesthetized locally using a cream and disinfected. The physician then injects the active substance using very fine needles.

The main point in achieving a fine, smooth result is the special injecting technique. A special technique and an artistic eye are necessary.

After completion of the injections, the patient goes home. Further medication is not required. Side effects include temporary swelling, reddening and a light burning sensation. Bruises are seldom. The fat tissue is broken down by the body through natural processes and then excreted. This takes some two weeks. On average, two treatments are needed with a period of 14 days between treatments to reach the desired result.

Some fat deposits are especially suited for treatment with injection-lipolysis, others less so. For the best result, your doctor, will often combine injection-lipolysis (lipodissolve) with liposculpture.

We have found that more than 80% of the patients are very satisfied with the results after 2 – 3 treatments. At this time we have found that there is a non-responder rate of about 5%, (i.e. the therapy does not show any effect in about one in twenty patients). The reasons for this are unknown. You can be absolutely sure that your physician will always be informed about the latest state of development of lipodissolve injections.
