Uses Of Botox (Other than cosmetology)

WHAT IS BOTOX?

Botox is a new remedy made from refining and diluting the substance (produced by the clostridium botulinum bacteria) responsible for relaxing the muscles. This substance weakens the muscles by suppressing the release of acetylcholine: the neurotransmitter responsible for triggering muscle contractions. Essentially, the botulinum toxins block the signals that would normally tell your muscles to contract.
